Despina Pirketti holds a BA in Translation Studies from the Ionian University, Greece, an MA in English Literature and Comparative Cultural Studies from the University of Cyprus, and an MA in Theatre Studies from the Open University of Cyprus. She works as a literary translator between Greek, English and French. She is the author of a novel (publ. in Athens, 1999) and two plays, staged in Larnaka, Cyprus: Sommerfugl, 2014 and Anaesthesia, 2016. Sommerfugl was also staged in London in June 2018.
