Ο Χρίστος Χρίστου γεννήθηκε στη Λευκωσία το 1968. Αποφοίτησε με υποτροφία από το Τμήμα Επιστήμης Φυσικής Αγωγής του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών το 1992, με ειδικότητα προπονητική κλασικού αθλητισμού. Υπηρέτησε επαγγελματικά τον αθλητισμό από διάφορα πόστα, ενώ την τελευταία δεκαετία εργάζεται στη φαρμακευτική εταιρεία Μ. Σ. Ιακωβίδης. Αυτή του η ενασχόληση τον οδήγησε ξανά στα θρανία, και στο Μεταπτυχιακό Δίπλωμα «Διοίκησης Μονάδων Υγείας», από το Ανοικτό Πανεπιστήμιο Κύπρου όπου και αποφοίτησε το 2010.
Υπήρξε αθλητής στίβου από την παιδική του ηλικία, και στη συνέχεια ασχολήθηκε με το τρίαθλο, όπου και υπήρξε μέλος της εθνικής ομάδας Κύπρου.
Συνεχίζει να προπονείται και να αγωνίζεται με τον ίδιο ενθουσιασμό, με κυριότερο του αντίπαλο το χρονόμετρο και τις προηγούμενες του επιδόσεις.
Είναι παντρεμένος και έχει δύο παιδιά, τα οποία επίσης ασχολούνται με τον αθλητισμό.

Christos Christou was born in Nicosia, Cyprus, in 1968. He graduated with a scholarship from the Faculty of Physical Education at the University of Athens in 1992 and has a major in track and field training. He has had different professional positions related to athletics, and in the last decade has been working for the pharmaceutical company M.S. Jacovides. This occupation made him go back to studying, and he graduated again from the Open University of Cyprus in 2010 with a degree in Health Management.
He started practicing athletics from a young age and later specialized in triathlon, becoming a member of the national team of Cyprus.
He continues to train and compete with the same enthusiasm, and considers his chronometer and his previous performances his main enemies.
He is married and has two children, who also practice athletics.
