Founded in 1995, Armida Books is an award-winning independent publisher based in Nicosia, Cyprus. With three decades of expertise, we specialize in publishing intelligent contemporary fiction and distinguished non-fiction by both local and international authors, with a focus on the dynamic and diverse cultures of the Eastern Mediterranean region.

Our Work

Armida Books offers a diverse catalog of novels, short stories, anthologies, and poetry in both English and Greek. As a leader in promoting the short story format, we celebrate the power of brevity to convey profound human experiences.

Armida Books has been at the forefront of introducing Cypriot literary works to global audiences. Through an extensive network of international agents and publishers, we have successfully positioned Cyprus literature on the world stage.

Several of our titles have achieved multiple translations into languages such as German, Spanish, Arabic, making them accessible to readers across Europe and beyond. Οι Εκδόσεις Αρμίδα ιδρύθηκαν το 1995 με κύριο στόχο την προώθηση των Κυπριακών Γραμμάτων, τόσο στο εσωτερικό όσο και στο εξωτερικό. 

Στην πορεία, πολλά από τα έργα που έχουν εκδοθεί από τον Oίκο έχουν βραβευτεί τόσο στην Κύπρο όσο και στο εξωτερικό καθιστώντας την ως μια από τις σοβαρότερες εκδοτικές εταιρείες του τόπου.  

Η εκδοτική της δραστηριότητα τα τελευταία χρόνια έχει συγκεκριμένη θεματογραφία και η εταιρεία έχει καθιερωθεί ως σημαντικός παραγωγός μυθιστορημάτων γραμμένων στα Αγγλικά, με ένα κατ’ εξοχήν μεσογειακό προσανατολισμό. Οι συγγραφείς της εταιρείας προέρχονται τώρα από όλο τον κόσμο, αλλά το κύριο χαρακτηριστικό τους είναι η αγάπη τους για την γεωγραφική περιοχή καθώς και το υψηλού επιπέδου λογοτεχνικό τους έργο και ύφος. Κύριο αναγνωστικό κοινό δεν είναι μόνο οι φίλοι απόδημοι στις διάφορες ανά τον κόσμο παροικίες, αλλά οι περιηγητές, το εισερχόμενο τουριστικό κοινό, καθώς και οι λάτρεις της καλής λογοτεχνίας.

Η εταιρεία είναι ιδρυτικό μέλος του Συνδέσμου Εκδοτών Κύπρου και ενεργό μέλος των συνδέσμων Independent Publishers Guild (UK) και Independent Book Publishers Association (USA) ενώ συστηματικά λαμβάνει μέρος σε συλλογικά περίπτερα στις μεγάλες παγκόσμιες εκθέσεις βιβλίου.
